Tea Tree oil. It’s a African American household staple. We have sworn by this oil for generations.

What is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea Tree Oil is an essential oil that has Several purposes. The oil comes from the plant of Melaleuca Alternifolia, this plant comes from Queensland Australia and please… Don’t confuse this with other teas. This specific plant only makes this oil.

What makes this oil unique?

This oil has very important properties. It not only moisturize but it also Kills bacteria and viruses. It is very inexpensive and its widely used in disinfectants and hand sanitizers as well as soaps and lotions.

The important property in this oils are :

Terpinen-4 ol. A component used to kill bacteria and fungus. Is is also used to increase the activity of the white blood cells to help fight germs.

Yes… Tea tree oil is a very unique oil. And for us black folk… We swear by it. We use it to clean out homes and take care of our skin and hair. But now… We can really put this oil to use and make hand sanitizer and hand soaps and disinfectants. I even made a disinfectant to help keep germs off of clothes… Being that I work in the healthcare field… I need to keep my clothes cleaned at all cost. If I’m not able to wash them every day… What o do is spray the home-made disinfectant on them and lay them dry and there you go.
